Blackwood start the season with a win

What a start to the season. Like a boxer coming out retirement a bit ring rusty but still knowing how to throw punches ,

Blackwood struggled to be coherent and play flowing rugby at the start, resulting in them conceding a try to Fairwater in the first 10 minutes, which went unconverted, 5-0 to fairwater.

Blackwood restarted and showed their dogged determination by starting to take control of the game, forcing their way up the pitch and scoring a try under the posts, which was converted, 5-7 to Blackwood. Following the re-start Blackwood became dominant on the pitch and scored a second try, which went un-converted, 5-12 to Blackwood.

This was the half time score.

The second half began with a comeback by Fairwater and 5 minutes into the second half they were rewarded for their efforts with a second try which they converted, 12 all.

This moved Blackwood to re-double their efforts and they produced some good rugby which resulted in a well deserved try, considering all the ball they had. This try went unconverted, 12-17 to Blackwood.

Well done lads you stuck at it and deserved the win, even though you were reduced to 14 men for 10 minutes of the second half. Thanks to Fairwater for a very entertaining match.
